In case you care, that’s an Enneacanthus obesus.

So, our thirty days are up. Thanks to all the other artists who participated, it was a lot of fun to have some company this year. I’m too lazy to repeat the links, so you can go back to this post.

Some recent highlights include Allan Haverholm’s “Lots” book of Lost drawings from Day 23, Warren Craghead’s photos of drawings on leaves from Day 29, and Simon Moreton’s 5 page “Absence, Present/Presence, Absent” which started on Day 13 (or at least was the 13th comic). Extra credit for Thaleslira and Kevin Czap who both did 30 day serialized works.

It’s not clear how many of us (besides me) actually stayed on schedule the whole time (I didn’t keep track), but it wasn’t many. Either way, it was a fun exercise to do again. I’ll probably be putting together a minicomic of some/all my pieces for next year.

I think I feel some blogging/writing coming on for next month.

Thanks for the idea and leadership Derik. I really found some good things in my own work and was really happy to see so much good stuff that you guys made. Next year I’ll try not to get behind!

Thanks for participating. I’m glad you enjoyed the process/work.

Hopefully you can live until next November with the shame of having fallen behind… (winky thing)

Congrats on seeing this project through, Derik! I’m ashamed to have fallen behind in reading your entries, but I’ve finally caught up and have been greatly inspired. I loved the four-panel grid you began with, was thrilled by the change to nine panels in the fourth quarter, and think this three-panel finale is the perfect punctuation with which to end. Well played all around, sir!
